If you couldn't find a job in pre-war Poland, at least you were up to date with the latest news. You were able to read from as many as 24 yiddish daily newspapers, almost on every topic, the many ism's of that era and their ideologies. I guess when there's not much work, you have the time to read.

The guy walking towards the building, is also without any work, but at least he is busy, walking.
