Bungalow in the Catskills
Pastel 8x10
I was sitting in my car in front of my friends bungalow, and I couldn't help but marvel at the old wood structure that has served some families in the last sixty years or so. People leave the comfort of their home, just to get bitten by bees and sleep in some old smelly beds. "What don't you do for the kids" is the answer, well, maybe they have a point here. How much running space can you allocate your child in the streets of Brooklyn? Where can your child see and touch a real flower, climb a tree house, or catch fireflies in a jar, if not here in the old rundown colonies. Luckily, I had paper and pastels in the car and my instincts drove me in a drive to capture what I saw. Here it is for your enjoyment. Ouch! what just bit me? |
