Rashi

Rashi
Oil on Canvas

One of my first oil paintings at age 13, I got my oil kit from Pearl Paints on Canal St. as a present. This painting was based on a black & white image I saw, so I tried imagining what colors to use. I still like this painting even today.

Voos Hert Zech?

Voos Hert Zech?
Charcoal, 8 x 8.5

I am sure that he always had a good word for everyone, maybe even some sweets in his pockets. A sense of humor is good in bad times, and bad times, you say? If all is from Hashem, then nothing is bad, it's all good!.

History in a Box

History in a Box
Chalk Pastel, 11 x 8.5

After bringing home this charming vintage radio, I explained to my kids what this was, my Son asked me "If you turn it on, can you still hear news from World War II"?. Now just imagine a family in the '40s clamoring around the radio dial, picking up a BBC broadcast of the bombing of Pearl Harbor, the Allies landing in Normandy, or the exciting news that the war is over. Now the old radio has seen enough, heard enough that it is happy to just decorate my living room.
